Holding Your Transformation Back

I had a dear friend questioning if she was SABOTAGING her progress. She’s in the midst of a thick, juicy transformation. Thinking that she wasn’t taking small enough steps for real progress. Like she should be doing more leg work right now.

I stopped her.

As a whole, the coaching and transformation industry really poo-poo’s making huge changes without doing the “work” before. Like it’s a right of passage way. You have to put the time in. You have start ground up. Learn the basics. Master the basics before moving on.

I completely disagree and felt my passion rise as I listened to my friend go on.

This is how I replied…

“Sister, if you drawn to huge jumps, embrace it. There is so much magic that happens when we follow our heart. Like quantum unexplainable change can happen. If you are being cautious and purposely moving slower or in shorter stride, then you are robbing yourself of fullness, completeness, joy, etc and even the next move that might plant you to your dreams. Follow the steps small and big.”

There is no right or wrong recipe about changing, growing, evolving, or transforming. The only thing you can do is to follow your intuition, heart, and/or gut. Each step is right. And even when it looks wrong to you, it’s right for a reason. Sometimes you see the reason and sometimes you don’t. That doesn’t make the value of the step any less significant.

So if you feel like you have to X,Y, Z before you L,M,N, O, P, stop. Really take pause to see if it’s your darn ego chatting away or if you can discern that you are supposed to go that route.

Little changes can change the course of everything and huge changes can nudge you down the right road.

Shine on, my sisters. xo.
