Editors Note: January 2020

The first issue is here! The idea for this concept came to me 2-3 years ago. I really wanted to have a woo magazine to read. With a little one around, I don’t make time to sit and read anymore, but I can always find a minute or two to spare reading links from my favorite Facebook pages or groups. However, I LIKE to read tangible things and flip through the pages. It just feels HUMAN to me, know what I mean?

Well, in December I was up in the middle of the night. I was laying in my little boy’s bed with him after he woke up. I sat with him and suddenly I felt an angel in the room. Angelic presence to me feels HUMONGOUS. So I sat there eager to see what was up. Last time they showed up last January, it turned out to be a big deal. To say they had my attention was to put it mildly!

So I sat there. I felt their presence and then the idea of the magazine I had from years ago popped in. Details were filling in. By this time, my little boy had passed out again, so I moved into the office. I grabbed paper and a blue Sharpie. I jotted down the name and formula I was given.

I was guided and inspired to start this endeavor in a very simple matter, just get it out there. So while I am so proud to put this digital version together, it’s my dream to print it one day. Print is important to me because it makes the intangible tangible and real. The woo magic can sit there in our home. We can be reminded of our spirit and how we aspire to be with just a quick glance of that paper sitting on our kitchen counter or desk.

The name “WOW Magazine” was crystal clear to me. They told me that it was for “Women Who Woo” and then I paused and reflected back that that doesn’t match “WOW”—they said just let it go, so who am I to argue? :-)

This magazine is intended to help bring the many stories, tools, practitioners, and possibilities to you. I’ve been in this woo world since 1997 (that’s 23 years—and yes, I started in my teens, if you’re wondering) and there is so much that I’m constantly being newly exposed to. New concepts, thought leaders, products, issues, information, modalities, areas of study, etc. And it’s going to be so much fun to bring it you!

Amazing women have stepped up to share what they know with us in WOW Magazine. I’m very excited to bring you their unique perspectives and gifts. They are women just like us—they juggle everyday lives with responsibilities, worries, family, careers, and hobbies.

For this first issue, I have chosen women that I met through a Facebook group that is my own go-to. These ladies are all committed to sharing their gifts with the world. We need their light and we need yours too. It’s my hope that WOW Magazine is a place where you’ll discover more breadcrumbs that help you shine your own light more brightly!

Lots of love and gratitude,

Nicole xoxo
